How can you compare teeth whitening products to make sure you’re getting the best value for your money? Sometimes it seems like there are just too many options available. Sifting through all the available products on the market to find the one that is best for you might seem like a project that will take up too much time or occupy too much attention. So what happens? So, you keep putting it off. One day you look and notice that your teeth just aren’t getting any whiter or brighter as a result. Now is the time to check out your options and make your choice.
Toothpaste, mouthwash, and teeth whitening gums are popular products on the market that seem to be gaining strength every day. When you compare teeth whitening products you’ll find that these provide limited results that may take a little time to be easily noticed. That being said, they do provide results and are among the least expensive of all products designed to help brighten smiles. They are often gentle enough for daily use though you should always double check with your dentist on the specific products you plan to use. They are ideal to supplement other teeth whitening efforts or to get your started in the process.
Paint on teeth whitening products deserve their own special category when the time to compare teeth whitening products arrives. These are a little more labor intensive than some of the other available but the results, when done well, are impressive. One note to remember is that this is not only a hands-on project but also one that you really have to pay attention to what you’re doing with as well. You don’t want to have a streaky appearance or missed spots on your teeth that stand out every single time your smile.
Finally, there you’ll want to compare teeth whitening products that make use of tooth whitening trays. These products involve filling a tray with the tooth whitening product and leaving it on your teeth for a period of time. There are many who swear by these as the most effective results you can get at home. The pros are bright, white smiles, the products are easy to use, and the results are impressive. The cons include that it can be messy and some people do not tolerate the flavor very well. Now all you have to do is find the one system that works best for you.

Taking the mystery out of the teeth whitening procedure will make the entire process a little less painful for everyone involved. Some procedures are easier than others but most of them involve very little pain and some of them can deliver pretty big results. The more involved the procedure, in general, the more immediately noticeable the results will be. Of course, the costs involved rise with the more complicated procedures for whitening teeth as well. Whether you decide to go with the super simple do it yourself kits or some of the more complicated tooth painting kits or even something as simple as whitening toothpastes, mouthwashes, and even gum there is sure to be a kit that matches your smile brightening style.
The teeth whitening procedure for painting teeth isn’t nearly as complicated as it sounds. The first word of caution is that you need to read all the instructions for your particular kit very carefully before you do anything. Reading all the instructions from the start may save you from embarrassing white streaks in your teeth or uneven tooth color during the time between the first application and when you can safely do another. Paint your teeth carefully and allow to set for the recommended time frame for the level of whiteness you hope to achieve.
What is the teeth whitening procedure for tooth whitening toothpaste? Oddly enough it’s the same as using ordinary toothpaste in most cases. You brush your teeth as normal and rinse your mouth well afterwards. You will still need to floss and use mouthwash as normal. This simply replaces your ordinary toothpaste with a different brand designed to slowly whiten your smile with continued use. The longer you use these products, the better the results will be. Many of these products actually have a guide on the box so that you can measure your progress over time.
Is there anything special about the teeth whitening procedure for tray kits? Believe it or not, these are some of the simplest of all the kits to use. You apply the proper amount of gel or whitening agent into the tray, bite, and hold for the recommended amount of time. Some products request that you leave the product on longer for a whiter smile while others strongly recommend against that as the whitening agent in the product may damage teeth with too much exposure so be sure to read all the instructions before using.

1. Go to the dentist! This step can’t be skipped for white teeth. It is the foundation for your white teeth, because you need a healthy smile before it can be a beautiful smile. You should schedule and attend appointments at least once, ideally 2-3 times per year.
2. Establish good oral hygiene. Brushing your teeth at least twice a day will be of the utmost importance. If going to the dentist is the foundation, then the cornerstone is at home oral hygiene habits. Floss before bed to keep particles between your teeth from causing stains.
3. Drink plenty of water. I have been told this rule since I was a young child. Your body will thank you for keeping it nourished with the water it needs. When I was four, I was visiting my grandparents, and right before bedtime my grandpa asked if I had drank 8 glasses of water that day. I told him I only drank three, and he told me all the benefits of drinking 8 glasses of water per day, including that it makes your teeth healthy. He stood there, lecturing me about my health, until I drank the remaining five glasses for the day and then he put me to bed. Let’s just say the four year with way too much water before bedtime had his payback the next morning. But the lesson certainly stuck with me until today. The benefits for your teeth is that it keeps your mouth cleaner and washes down any particles.
4. Quit Smoking/Chewing. Easier said than done, I know. Been there before and would rather not have to do it again. But smoking and chewing are major stain causes. I quit, and my teeth grew much whiter.
5. The Culprit might Very well be your morning cup of tea or coffee. Wine, cola, tea, coffee; these guys are also on the list of the big stain causes. Rinse afterwards, or sip some water while you drink these beverages.
6. Try some natural teeth whiteners. These include strawberries, which contain an enzyme to whiten teeth. Otherwise, try gurgling with salt and lemon juice, or perhaps eat more crunchy fruits and veggies.
7. Dark juices in beets, blackberries, and blueberries can cause teeth discoloration. However, I do enjoy a handful of fresh blackberries fresh from the bush, so I just brush soon afterwards.
8. Avoid most mouthwashes, unless they state that they don’t cause stains, like Listerine’s whitening mouthwash.
9. Baking soda is great! It deodorizes your sleeping bag after a wet camp out, it helps cakes to rise, and it is also a very effective tooth whitener. So much so, that it’s now an ingredient in many toothpastes.
10.At home whiteners make it easier and less expensive to get a beautiful smile. Take a look at some of the better pens, strips, or trays and gels. It will save time and money over going to the dentist and having him or her whiten your teeth.

With literally hundreds of gel/tray products on the market today, most of them require you to be conscious for the treatment. If you fall asleep during treatment, your teeth will be whitened beyond a natural shade, may dehydrate, rebound, cause chemical burns, or any number of problems. But now, there’s a way to whiten your teeth while you sleep!
So, the product is called Nite White ACP 22. The active ingredient is carbamide peroxide, which does cause some tooth sensitivity. Your best bet is to brush twice a day with desensitizing toothpaste for 3 weeks before you begin whitening your teeth. There are some people that won’t be completely desensitized by toothpaste, it would be a good idea to see your dentist for that before you begin. You also have to make sure that if you have cuts or scrapes on your gums are fully healed before you begin the process.
When you are certain that all sores or cuts have healed completely and you have used desensitizing toothpaste for three weeks, you can begin treatment. First, brush thoroughly and floss your teeth. Next, take out the trays that come with the Nite White package, and put a thin layer of the product into the tray. It should be about 10-12 drops into the top and bottom trays total. Next, press the trays firmly onto your teeth, making sure that not too much of the gel comes out of the tray. Wipe off any excess from your gums with your finger.
Then, you just let them sit firmly on your teeth for 2-3 hours. The wonderful thing about Nite White is that it loses 80% of it’s potency after 2 hours, meaning that even if you don’t hear the alarm, it won’t hurt your teeth much.
Finally, when you are finished, rinse your mouth out with cool water and rinse the trays with warm water.
For best results, repeat this process nightly for 7-10 days, with a touch up once or twice every six months. Remember to keep the product out of direct sunlight.
In short, this is a great product, as long as you take necessary precautions to keep your teeth from becoming too sensitive.

A question that has stumped dentists and philosophers since the advent of teeth whitening gum… Does it work? Short answer… Not really. It does a good job of keeping your mouth tasting minty fresh and might remove some particles, but, in reality, it does not contain the ingredients that a gel, strip, pen or toothpaste would have, that is, hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.
Chewing gum is great for keeping your breath fresh and clean, masking odors and giving your breath a nice smell, while leaving an excellent taste in your mouth. Just watch out for the extra sugars that are often present in chewing gums.
What is present in many of these formulas, however, is baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate. Baking soda is often recommended for a daily teeth whitening ingredient. Baking soda is used in other applications as well, such as baking (of course!) and as a supplement for endurance athletes (who knew?) and as a means to neutralize acids and bases. This small amount of baking soda is generally not enough to do an in depth whitening of your teeth, rather, it must be taken daily for any effect to be seen. It would be easier to simply brush with baking soda! If you are a “gum person” it may make sense for you to chew whitening gum, or at least get a gum that is sugar free.
There are great many solutions that do a better job than teeth whitening gum, such as pens, mouthwashes, toothpastes, and strips which do a much better job and yet are still just as convenient to use as teeth whitening gum. Gums can be great to freshen your breath and to remove matter from between your teeth, however, I would not use just a teeth whitening gum to get my teeth white.

The Crest 3D White Program is a Teeth Whitening Strip system that is well branded and is very popular.
They have a variety of programs for teeth whitening, depending on your needs.

In less than three weeks, Crest will give you a smile that is similar to having an in-office laser treatment for a fraction of the cost of going to the dentist! During the twenty days, the user places the whitening strip over the teeth and leaves it for thirty minutes. The revolutionary advanced seal that Crest offers ensures that there will be less slippage when it is on your teeth.

To maintain your smile, try the Whitestrips with the stain shield. This allows for extra protection for your teeth, so your white smile will be protected, even if you drink coffee or red wine!
Crest 3D white strips have two common shortcomings. The first is that it makes your teeth very sensitive while they are on. If you eat very hot or very cold food or beverages, expect a bit of pain in your teeth. They also cause a bit more saliva than is necessary to build up, making it very tempting to spit a lot.
Crest 3D white strips are great for fast whitening, and they offer a great number of variations in their product line.

Rembrandt is a well known teeth whitener product from Johnson & Johnson. They manufacture toothpaste, mouthwashes, and also teeth whiteners. They have several product lines, divided into two types, fast teeth whitening, and daily teeth whitening.

Naturally, the fast teeth whitening systems from Rembrandt are for quick whitening of teeth in as little as two hours. The Two-Hour Whitening Kit is a gel kit with a tray applicator that guarantees results in two hours. The steps are simple, just ensure that you are not doing anything for two hours that includes use of your mouth. First, shape the patented ComfyTray applicator to fit your teeth and mouth shape. Next, fill the bottom of the tray with a thin layer of the gel, and apply to the teeth for 20 minutes, wash out your mouth and the tray with water. Then, wait ten minutes. Repeat this process until 2 hours has elapsed.
Another Fast Whitening product from Rembrandt is the Form-Fit Whitening Strips. This is a patented teeth whitening strip that form fits your teeth from the gum line to the tip. This process takes 5 days to complete, and it is a relatively good fit for the shape of the teeth. You first prep your mouth by rinsing for 15 seconds before the application, then you apply the strip from the gum line to the tip and then a tab sticks to the back of the teeth. Repeat the steps with another strip for the bottom layer. These strips are to be left in the mouth for 30 minutes, then rinse your mouth for another 15 seconds, then remove the strips. Rembrandt claims that the strips will clear even deep down intrinsic stains as well as the extrinsic stains on the enamel.
Generally, both of the aforementioned “Fast Teeth Whitening” products should be repeated every six months.
In the second category, the Daily Whitening, there are products that last when used daily.
The first is a somewhat unique tool, which is teeth whitening mouthwash, which freshens breath, but also whitens teeth with a peroxide formula. The peroxide formula will bubble inside the mouth, activating the ingredients. Floride is added to build enamel in your teeth as well.
Rembrandt is definitely known for their toothpastes, and the Intense Stain formula is no exception. Obviously, this is a daily formula; but what is not known is that it removes tough stains and also has “micro-polishers” to gently polish the teeth while you brush. A similar product is Rembrandt Plus Peroxide Fresh Mint Toothpaste, which uses a rapid release formula of peroxide to whiten teeth. The Rembrandt Canker Sore Toothpaste also is gentle enough to provide effective teeth whitening while being gentle enough for those prone to canker sores.
Rembrandt products are found in many drugstores, grocery stores, and general stores, and also online at http://www.rembrandt.com.

Teeth ID Pro is a revolutionary new way to get your perfect shade of teeth whitening. They have three different treatments for your teeth; what they do is ask you a few simple questions about your lifestyle and eating habits, and then they recommend the perfect treatment for your smile. So, not only is it an effective treatment, it is different from the one-size fits all treatments that are found elsewhere online.
I had read that TeethID Pro works like a charm, in fact, testers were found to have significantly whiter smiles within three days with a product like this. TeethID Pro has a formula that is 2.5x stronger than the leading brand of whitener strips. And it is far less expensive than going to the dentist for a laser teeth whitening treatment.
So, a friend of mine tried out their trial and said it worked great. He sent in a rebate form after he received the product and he couldn’t be happier with the results. Within a week, his smile was about five shades whiter. There was no issue with teeth sensitivity, and his teeth never looked better. He told me that the system worked just like it was meant to, they asked him questions about what he eats, whether or not he smoked, drank alcohol or coffee, and whether or not he has tried any other teeth whitener.
To make a long story short, his teeth are a great shade, now, he is pleased with the results and the fact that they were not just trying to sell him the most expensive product they had. His teeth are great and the dentist said that because he brushed and flossed daily, he had perfectly healthy teeth to go along with his great white teeth. There is a lot of teeth whitening power in TeethID Pro that can be harness to get your dingy yellowed teeth whiter.

Teeth Whitening Pens have hit the dental world by storm. I found out about them at a Starbucks in Manhattan. Several men and women were pulling pens out and writing on their teeth after their cup of joe. This sparked my interest enough to inquire about what they were doing. Noting a typical New Yorker, the response was something like this “Whitening my teeth, what does it look like I’m doing.” I noticed that he was using a pen called Extreme Whitener.
After a little research online, I discovered that this extreme whitener product was quickly becoming the hottest thing in America. I ordered a trial pen online for just $3.95 by using the promo code “smiles”, which enabled me to try it for just the shipping and handling cost. I’ll admit that when I tried it I was a bit hesitant, however my suspension of skepticism came after the first application:

Customer support sent a tracking number in an email, and I received the pen in the mail in a few days. I couldn’t have been more surprised by the results. I’ve drank coffee all my life and have never been able to get the stains out, but this was the first product that I’ve tried that got my teeth to their natural white state.
It’s a small pen that fits into my briefcase when I go to work, and, just like the directions noted, I applied it for 30 seconds. Right there after I went to the bathroom mirror at work, expecting to feel let down. To my surprise, this product actually worked. My teeth looked noticeably whiter after the first application of it.
Since then I religiously apply Extreme Whitener after every cup of coffee. My colleagues at work took heed to the change in my looks, and wanted to know if I had lost weight. “No,” I tell them, “it’s something else and it’s my little secret. After a little more probing I eventually give up my source.
Before I ordered online I searched around and found a coupon that brought the price of a trial pen down to $3.95. The promo code is “smile.” I ordered my pen here.
